HOW CAN I HELP?
If you’d like to understand more about what you can do, you can read more here.
If you are interested in donating to organisations that I think are doing great work, here are some organisations:
Protect Our Winters UK was founded in 2017 by a team of UK outdoor enthusiasts to mobilise the UK outdoor sports community to accelerate our transition to a carbon neutral society and reduce our individual and collective carbon footprints.
Protect Our Winters are focussed on creating an environment that encourages people to act to combat the climate crisis, however big or small those actions may be.

As an outdoor enthusiast, an avid skier and a lover of the mountains, the POW UK key values of Fun, Inclusivity, Positivity, Collaboration and Effective action, resonated with me, as well as their work to encourage us all to take small action. The warming of our planet undermines the health, safety, security and livelihoods of many in drastic and extreme ways, but it also has to potential to undermine significant facet of the lives of many more – we all have a responsibility to act.

Possible is on a mission to speed up action on climate change. If we’re going to move at the speed required – and if we’re going to ensure the new world we build is a fair one – people and communities have to be involved. Possible runs positive, practical projects focused on tackling climate change at the community level, and turn these local actions into a force for bigger changes. Combining individual and local actions with larger systemic change, Possible face our climate dread with a can-do attitude and sense of fun.
I’m inspired by their positive, realistic, practical approach to the climate emergency and by their acknowledgement that we can change the world if we all undertake small, but meaningful steps. I love Possible’s community focus campaigns, which seem to get people who may never have considered themselves environmentalists involved and engaged.
